Video scandal: PML-N submits petition to ECP
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has submitted a petition to the Election Commission (EC) seeking an inquiry into the video scandal.
According to details, the petition was submitted by Jahangir Jadoon on behalf of PML-N leader Murtaza Abbasi. Chairman PTI Imran Khan, former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, DG FIA, PEMRA and former Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have also been made parties in the petition.
The text of the petition states that under the Constitution, the Election Commission is responsible for making elections transparent and free. The Election Commission has the power to conduct investigations from any body.
According to the request, the PTI MPAs who are accused of taking money cannot investigate, the Election Commission should conduct a transparent investigation into the video scandal.

Talking to media, Jahangir Jadoon said that he has asked the Election Commission to investigate the video scandal. PTI MPAs are accusing Pervez Khattak.
He further said that if anyone has bought votes in the election process, the Election Commission should conduct an inquiry. We do not trust the committee formed by the government.
