Vatican: Gay marriage banned
The Vatican has banned the Catholic Church from praying for homosexual marriages.
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), a powerful body that defends the Vatican Church’s ideology, asked a question, “Does the church have the authority to pray for same-sex marriage?” Puts? The answer was given in the negative.
The reply was signed by Cardinal Luis Ladaria, head of the 1542 office. The CDF wrote in its response that “the prayer of blessing must follow the will of God and the teachings of Jesus.”
He added that there would be positive aspects of homosexuality, but that it would not be “permissible” to pray for blessings because the positive aspects of these relationships are not in accordance with God’s commandments.
The statement said that God does not deprive His servants of His mercy in this world even for a moment, but He can never bless sin.
