The United States has called the two-state solution “the best” for Israel
WASHINGTON, DC: The current US Secretary of State in the Biden administration, Anthony Blanken, said in a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart, Gabi Ashkenazi, that a “two-state solution” to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the best for Israel’s future.
In a statement issued yesterday, the US State Department called Blinken’s remarks a “US vision” for a better future for Israelis, Palestinians and the Middle East.

It should be noted that former US President Donald Trump, while announcing the peace plan for the Middle East, had said that Jerusalem would remain the “undivided capital” of Israel, while the Palestinians would have the capital in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. It will not be divided in half.
However, the Palestinians rejected any proposal that would not show the whole of East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine because the area has Muslim, Jewish and Christian holy sites.
Incumbent US President Joe Biden has also campaigned for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
According to the State Department, in a telephone conversation with the Israeli Foreign Minister, the Secretary of State reiterated his position that the Biden administration “believes that a two-state solution is the only way to ensure a Jewish and democratic state of Israel.” The solution is to live peacefully with a democratic Palestinian state. “
