The search for the owner of the missing toy has won the hearts of the Prime Minister of New Zealand
WELLINGTON: New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has won the hearts of all by doing something unique to help a citizen.
According to international media reports, Jacinda Ardern posted on social networking site Facebook and appealed to citizens to help deliver the toys found at the airport to the owner.
Jacinda wrote that the rabbit toy needs to be delivered to the real owner, who needs the help of the public.
According to the report, the toy was handed over to the Prime Minister by the staff at Hamilton Airport. After which he took a selfie with the toy on Facebook on Thursday and shared it on Facebook.
“When I arrived at Hamilton Airport this morning, the airport team kindly allowed me to use their boardroom. As I was leaving, a staff member came up to me with a rabbit and told me that The toy was found at the airport on January 28 and its owner has been wanted ever since.
“I think it’s a small thing, but it will be valuable to the person who owns it. All of you, people, support me to get Wink to the owner,” Jacinda wrote.
Twenty-four hours after Sanda Order’s post, significant progress was made in this regard and the airport management said that they have succeeded in delivering the toy to the owner.
An airport spokesman wrote: “We found Wink’s family, it was a little boy named Boin, who named him ‘Nono’. The toy will reach the original owner tomorrow.”
