The president of the African country Chad was killed in a battle with the rebels
The president, who has been in power for 30 years in the African country of Chad, has been killed during a battle with rebels.

According to details, Chadian President Idriss Deby was killed while fighting in the front line with the rebels in Sahil County.

It should be noted that Idris Debbie came to power after the military coup in 1990 and was elected the president of the country for the sixth time yesterday.

A statement from Chad’s military said the 68-year-old president had been seriously wounded in fighting with rebels.

President Debbie’s son, 37-year-old Four Star General Muhammad Idrees, has been named head of the Military Council.

Following the death of President Idris Debbie, the military has announced that it will dissolve parliament and hold elections in 18 months.
