The K2 Circuit team arrived at base camp, with an American climber missing
The K2 skiers arrived at the Nepalese mountaineering base camp, while an American climber who had come to Broadpack for an adventure has been missing since Saturday and will be searched by helicopter today.
Nepali mountaineers, who set a world record by climbing the world’s second highest peak K2 for the first time in winter, have reached the base camp.
Nepali climbers headed out at 5pm on Saturday.
The death of a Spanish climber and the disappearance of an American climber at the base camp are mournful.
American climber Alex went on a peak adventure near Broad Peak to get acquainted with the environment, but has not yet returned. The missing American climber will be found by helicopter today.
