Saudi Arabia shot down a Houthi rebel drone
Riyadh: Coalition forces in Saudi Arabia defused a Houthi rebel suicide bomber drone in mid-air.
According to the international news agency, the Houthi rebels from Yemen sent the bomber drone to Saudi Arabia, but the defense air system responded immediately and destroyed the drone in the air.
Colonel Turki al-Maliki, a spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, told a media briefing that the Iranian-made drone was equipped with explosives and was capable of carrying out powerful explosions.
Colonel Turki al-Maliki added that the brave officials, who were responsible for the security of the country and the nation, responded immediately to the threat and saved it from great loss. Houthi rebels in Yemen are violating international law.
It should be noted that the fierce war between the Saudi-led Arab military alliance and the Houthi rebels in Yemen has been going on since 2015 in which a large number of lives and property have been lost.
