Russia and Iran have stated opposition to using force or imposing sanctions on the United States, which has been accused of plotting to assassinate President Barack Obama.
An intelligence report released by the US Department of Justice and Homeland Security claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the operation in support of Trump and to divide the United States politically and socially.
According to the intelligence report, elements backed by Russia, Iran and China affected the security networks of US political organizations.
Russia and Iran, meanwhile, have denied any involvement in the US presidential election.
