One in three women face abuse or domestic violence from a partner: report
The World Health Organization (WHO) has revealed in a report that one out of every three women or girls in the world is subjected to abuse or domestic violence by her partner.
A report by the WHO and other agencies states that one in three women is sexually harassed or abused by a husband or partner, with more women between the ages of 30 and 39 reporting such incidents.
The report also states that the incidence could go up further if online incidents and sexual harassment are included.
According to the World Health Organization, the rate of violence was highest in poor and underdeveloped countries, with South Asia and Africa having the highest rates of violence against women aged 15 to 49.
