No talks on ballistic missile program, Iranian president-elect announces
Iran’s newly elected President Ibrahim Raeisi has announced that talks on the ballistic missile program cannot take place.
After winning the presidential election, Ibrahim Raisi held his first press conference and said that the United States had violated the 2015 nuclear deal while the European Union had also failed to keep its promises.
He said the United States was committed to lifting all US sanctions on Iran, that foreign policy would not be limited to the nuclear deal, and that the aspirations of the Iranian people could not be linked to the nuclear deal.
Asked about his meeting with US President Joe Biden, he said no.
Ibrahim Raisi announced that there could be no talks on the ballistic missile program.
He said that he wanted mutual relations with the world, improving relations with neighboring countries was among his priorities and he would hold talks with the whole world.
Referring to China, the newly elected President said that Iran and China have good relations, there are many potentials between the two countries and we will definitely try to restore those capabilities.
