Kuwait City: Kuwaiti MPs split into factions after disagreements over the agenda.
According to Arab media reports, the meeting held in the Kuwaiti parliament on Tuesday was full of differences. After the swearing in of the cabinet in the Kuwaiti parliament, the members differed on the agenda of the meeting.
Due to the differences, the MPs were divided into two factions and bitter rhetoric started which turned into a scuffle.
Media sources said that two MPs Salman Al-Haleel and Saleh Al-Mutairi were involved in the scuffle, due to which the assembly session was adjourned for 15 minutes.
The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, had earlier expressed hope that the session of parliament would rise above tensions and set an example of fruitful cooperation between the government and the Legislative Assembly.
