Corona threat: Germany bans British citizens from entering
Germany has banned British citizens from entering the country. German nationals coming from the UK will also have to stay in quarantine for two weeks despite the negative corona report.
Germany added the UK to its list of endangered countries last week after an Indian strain of the corona virus was discovered in the UK, but travel bans were imposed after a 160 per cent increase in corona cases in a week.
The ban will take effect on Sunday, and only German citizens and permanent residents of Germany will be able to enter the country, and a two-week quarantine will be required.
The ban will not apply to people arriving in Germany on a transit flight from the UK and not leaving the airport.
