Bangladesh’s army chief has been implicated in the assassination of his brothers who fled the country
Bangladesh Army Chief General Aziz is being accused of being involved in the murder of his brothers who fled the country.
Arab media reports say Bangladeshi officials and military generals are involved in forgery and abuse of power.
According to the report, Bangladeshi officials got financial benefits in government jobs and contracts, while Bangladesh Army Chief General Aziz forced his two brothers involved in the murder to flee the country.
The report says that Haris and Anis, brothers of Bangladesh Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed, are accused of killing a political rival in 1996. General Aziz Ahmed sent his brother Haris to Hungary and Anis to Malaysia.
Arab media reports also allege that Harris bought and traded properties in Europe with illicit money transferred from Bangladesh. Harris worked with top Bangladeshi officials for thousands of dollars in police jobs. Also sold.
According to the report, Harris and Anis have also been bodyguards of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid.
