Advances in the preparation of wound healing glue from the acacia plant

Advances in the preparation of wound healing glue from the acacia plant
Montreal: It has been revealed that the gum present in the gum berries on the plant of the genus Cass Bell can be used as a natural ointment to heal wounds.

This plant is called maltus, which grows on trees as a parasite and grows on these small white berries. Its flowers are also used in Christmas decorations, but new properties of the special glue ‘whiskey’ in berries have been discovered.

When birds eat these berries, seeds stick to their bodies which are difficult to remove. Matthew Harrington, now a professor at McGill University, with the help of German experts, looked at it and saw a thin three-dimensional structure.
Experts applied the fibers to metal, glass and plastic so that they clung tightly. It was later revealed that if a little moisture is added to the glue, it spreads and weakens and loses its ability to stick. On the one hand, its adhesive ability was revealed, on the other hand, the way to get rid of it was also known, on the other hand, it is also bio-compatible in every way.

In the next step, the glue of the mulberry berries was somewhat tested on animal wounds and its thin layer was applied to both sides of the wound like a bandage with the best results. In the next step, it will be further researched and tested on humans.
