6 patients die due to lack of oxygen in Corona ward, health minister resigns
Amman: Six patients were killed when oxygen ran out in the Corona ward of a Jordanian hospital, prompting the health minister to resign.

According to the international news agency, the supply of oxygen gas in the intensive care unit of Corona in a hospital in the Jordanian capital Amman suddenly stopped, as a result of which 6 patients died.

The dead included two brothers and a sister from the same family, while the other three were relatives. The cause of the power outage in Corona Ward has not yet been determined.
The bereaved families staged a sit-in outside the hospital and chanted anti-government slogans. A heavy contingent has been deployed outside the hospital.

Jordanian Health Minister Natir Obaidat has resigned, claiming responsibility for the deaths of six patients at a hospital cut off from oxygen.

The supply of oxygen gas in Corona ward was cut off at 7 am, for which the Prime Minister has constituted an inquiry committee.
