4 million fans of TuckTuckerDoctor
LONDON: Doctors are rarely seen on social media, but one-click doctors are now popular around the world and more than 4 million people are among their fans.
Dr. Julie Smith is a psychologist by profession and she began making helpful videos on depression and stress on Tuck Talk during the Code era and made her goal clear despite the time constraints. Since then, people have become interested in his videos.
Julie, 37, has reached the heights of fame in just two years. She was trapped in Spain in a lockdown when suddenly she came up with the idea of making a helpful video on Tik Tak and started working on it. After that, based on her knowledge, she continued to describe small psychological tips in which solutions to mental problems were offered. Now he has 3.4 million followers on Tik Tak alone, 834,000 people follow him on Instagram. The number of subscribers on YouTube is more than 4 lakh.
He has also written a book which is becoming increasingly popular. The title of the book is “Why Didn’t Anyone Tell Me This Before?” It has sold 1.5 million copies since January this year. It has also been translated and reprinted in 36 countries.
She recently re-shared an old video in which she mixes a few drops of ink that dissolves rapidly in plain water and spreads evenly over a short period of time. That’s how small self-care can have such a big impact, she says.
That is why she explains her point with simple examples and she influences people’s minds. Instead of YouTube, they prefer platforms like Tik Tak and Instagram because there are a lot of young people here and they like it.
Dr Julie was born in the UK and holds a degree in psychology from the University of Exeter. She still makes ticks and treats patients in the clinic.
